Our fun sailing trip in Croatia – an adventure on the high seas!

Day 1: Arrival and rain

Finally the time had come! We were all so excited to start our sailing trip in Croatia. We set off with our trainer Yost and skipper Tobias Herborn. We had already been on a catamaran with Tobias last year and really wanted to try it again with the whole crew.

Unfortunately, the weather spoiled our plans at the beginning. It rained for the first few days. But that didn't discourage us. We used the time in the port of Trogir to look around the city and prepare for sailing. Although the weather wasn't great, we had a lot of fun together.

Day 3: Finally on the catamaran Janny!

After spending the first few days on a spare catamaran, the time had finally come: our chartered catamaran "Janny" was available! We were so excited and couldn't wait to enjoy the full sailing experience on the sea.

Day 4: Adventure on the high seas

The weather had finally calmed down and we were ready to conquer the sea. It felt great to sail on the catamaran with our sailing skills and under the expert guidance of Tobias Herborn. The waves rocked us gently back and forth while we relaxed and let the wind blow around our noses. We sailed along the beautiful Dalmatian coast and explored stunning bays and harbors.

Day 5: Swimming fun and sailing training

Finally, we had the chance to swim in the crystal clear water. The sea was a bit chilly, but that didn't stop us from diving into the refreshing water. We enjoyed the time in the water and spent the day improving our sailing skills.

Our ports and their special features

We docked in various ports, each with its own charm. Marina Trogir, the starting point of our trip, was a picturesque town with many historic buildings and narrow streets. Here we were able to experience Croatian culture up close.

In Uvala Razetinovac on Čiovo, a quiet bay with crystal clear water awaited us – a perfect place for swimming and relaxing.

The islands of Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali impressed us with their beautiful bays. Uvala Krknjaši and Uvala Vela Rina offered ideal conditions for our sailing training.

On the island of Šolta we experienced the picturesque towns of Maslinica and Vinisce and were able to enjoy hearty Croatian cuisine in the local restaurants.

We ended the day in Rogoznica and Trogir, letting ourselves be carried away by the lively atmosphere of the port cities.

Our adventure ended in Marina Baotic, where we said goodbye with mixed feelings. We had a fantastic time on our sailing trip and would have loved to have stayed longer.

Conclusion:

Our sailing trip in Dalmatia was once again an unforgettable experience. We not only improved our sailing skills, but also enjoyed the beauty of the Croatian coast to the fullest. Tobias Herborn, our experienced skipper, accompanied us with a lot of patience and humor. The funny moments on board, swimming in the sea and exploring the various ports made this trip something very special. We are grateful for this wonderful time and are already looking forward to our next sailing trip!
