Report on our test sailing with the Sirius DS40 on October 6th

Last October 6, Thomas and I had the opportunity to test the Sirius DS40 for two exciting hours on the Baltic Sea. I would like to share this experience with you.

The weather that day was mixed, but we were lucky as the rain was sparse and the wind was just right for us, reaching force 5 with occasional gusts of up to 29 knots.

Steering the boat took some getting used to at first, but after just a few minutes Thomas and I had the hang of it. We were accompanied by a friendly and competent crew who patiently answered all of our questions.

The surprise came when the yacht sailed closer to the wind than we expected. We reached impressive speeds of up to 7.5 knots, all the while feeling safe thanks to the sheltered cockpit.

We started our little adventure trip from the Marina Neustadt and were out on the Baltic Sea for about two hours. The yacht proved to be extremely solidly built and there were no creakings anywhere. Even with the strong wind, surprisingly little water got overboard.

For further information about the yacht and its technical details I can recommend the website https://www.segeln-viserion.de/die-yacht .

Overall, our test sail with the Sirius DS40 was an impressive experience. We are impressed by the performance and safety of the boat and thank the crew for their hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next adventure on the high seas!
