Today I took another important step on the road to sailing adventure. I joined the Trans-Ocean eV association.

The Trans-Ocean Association is a network of and for ocean sailors. It offers its members a variety of benefits, including:
Access to a worldwide network of bases
Support in planning and carrying out sailing trips
Further training opportunities
Exchange with other sailors
I am convinced that the club will be a valuable support to me in preparing for my long trip.
I decided to join the association because I met a member of the board at the Boot trade fair in Düsseldorf. He gave me a detailed introduction to the association and explained the benefits of joining.
Here are some concrete benefits I expect from joining the association:
Access to a worldwide network of bases: This means I can rely on the support of other sailors and the local club if needed.
Support in planning and executing sailing trips: The club offers its members a variety of continuing education opportunities, such as courses in navigation, meteorology, and first aid. This will help me improve my sailing skills and prepare me for the challenges of a circumnavigation.
Exchange with other sailors: I'm excited to meet other circumnavigators and learn from their experiences. The club offers its members various opportunities for exchange, such as regular meetings, conferences, and online forums.
I'm glad I took the plunge and joined the club. I'm convinced it will be a valuable support in helping me realize my dream of a long-distance trip.
